I wonder why the UK release is so far behind the US release (I know the theatrical release was also later). I picked up the US BD and enjoyed the movie more than I thought I would. It is pretty formulaic, but both Dakota Fanning and Kristin Stewart are surprisingly good.

Cool I didn't get to see this in cinemas but I love Joan Jett so anything about her and the music should be good. Plus my buddy Scout's in this, I believe she plays Lita Ford? Unless she's lying...

Looks like the UK BD release may have been cancelled, as its now unavailable to order at Amazon, Play and hmv

Strange as its still up for pre-order in Canada and I believe their release is also by E1 Entertainment which is what the UK one was going to be.

Seems like the UK release is DVD only! I am seeing this more with UK releases now.... Its certainly not great, I would expect all new releases to come out on Blu.

Does anyone have E1's contact details? I see the USA BD is region locked

Most films come out on bluray now it is probably because it is a low budget movie.

I guess - but it seems to have been released in Australia, New Zealand, Usa and Germany from what I can find and there was definitely a UK one planned.

I see the same has happened to Made in Dagenham and Dinner For Schmucks - no UK release.

Made in Dagenham is also region locked in the USA.

To be fair, this is not a film that gains much from Blu Ray, its shot in a '70's style and is very soft. The Blu Ray (at least the Canadian one which I have) doesn't add much detail at all above SD. Still, it would be nice to have the option...

Great underrated film.

Well they lost a sale from me because if they had released it on Blu-ray here I would've bought it.

Hopefully it'll get released one day.

Am actually tempted to get the German Steelbook, but it really does wind me up that not all new releases are released on BD. I refuse to buy anything on DVD unless its an old sitcom, shot on video!
