Warner Bros IMAX Under The Sea 3D Blu-ray (2009) [Region Free]

I ordered this on Blu-Ray 3D on Saturday and got it the following day, having finally this with this being my first IMAX 3D movie if this is the technology everyone raves as being the best I'm gonna really be disappointed to see the rest. This was a documentary filmed with IMAX 3D that had virtually non existent 3D I've seen many 3D movies and this had to be one of the most uncomfortable 3D movies on my eyes I've ever seen. this movie only had surface level depth with the foreground objects being so close It felt like it was right on my eyeballs (I've only ever experienced this in Jaws 3 3D) I felt like I was having to strain and cross my eyes most of the time.

If foreground objects are so close that they feel like they are on your eyeballs, the 3D can hardly be said to be non-existent - in fact, that's a recommendation....

I agree having foreground objects, deep depth and the figures up so close making you feel as if you're right there is always a great thing, but this movie in particular is was too much the closeness and even the particles coming at me really strained my eyes to look at.

You know can turn down the 3D intensity on your display, right?

My Blu-Ray 3D player doesn't have any 3D intensity feature but is a great 3D player, I always have my settings for my player and TV when watching 3D movies the same and they all show great. It has nothing to do with settings the 3D in this movie is just an uncomfortable viewing experience, if this is what IMAX 3D is idk if I want to invest in anymore of their 3D films.

Very odd comments . NEVER had any problem with IMAX documentaries,

I think of this disc as being total demo quality, one of the best to show off the power of 3D. Awesome stuff.

Not to mention a very misunderstood one..! I'm sure that when Josh says "3D intensity" he is correctly talking about the convergence point, i.e. where everything on the z-axis sits in relation to the screen. Unfortunately, this is often labelled "3D Strength," which leads some to assume that the "strength" of a movie's 3D can be adjusted whereas, of course, it's baked in.

One of the absolute best 3D documentaries in existence. As my man Telegram Sam said, a demo quality disc.
