This flick is frikkin' brutal. I've been a fan since the year it came out. Top-shelf Euro-gore-trash. I'm shocked that there still isn't an English-friendly blu ray, graced with English subs matched up to the French audio, just as found on the US and UK dvd releases.

Same. I saw the thread and got excited. I've been keeping an eye out for Frontier(s). It's a strong slasher. I need it in my collection alongside High Tension, Inside (Taiwanese import) and Martyrs. There were some really solid French / Euro horror films in the 2000s.

Another one I've always enjoyed from that period is the British film Severance (though it leans towards comedy and shouldn't be compared to the movies above). It doesn't have a US release either, though I own the Spanish import and it actually has good A/V. I do see it got a German mediabook release last year.

Also, a lot of the Tartan Asia Extreme DVD's in my collection are still waiting for upgrades. Despite Arrows best efforts, many good Asian horror films are waiting to be rescued.

Second Sights Limited Edition is up for pre-order on DiabolikDVD for those that want to go the premium route. $42.99 after shipping for me as I placed my order a few moments ago. This is still being advertised as being Region B locked and so it most likely will be, however there is always that slim chance that it's also Region A compatible but isn't advertised as such. This is one of the few French Extreme films I've never gotten around to watching but have heard much about over the years and so I am very much looking forward to checking it out.

I have the DVD of this, and been wanting a BD copy for years. It's very brutal, and crazy. Great performances as well. It has Samuel Le Bihan in it, from Brotherhood of the Wolf. He plays one of the baddies. I'm sure you won't be disappointed. So glad SS are releasing it. They do fine work, and I just love their special editions.

I preordered from Orbit without even knowing who the distributor was. Glad to know it's Second Sight! I just need ils (Them) and Inside. It feels like I'm overlooking another French extreme horror film. I could do without Martyrs but I do have the Umbrella release.

Agree completely about being excited by Second Sights involvement. They are the driving force as to why I pre-ordered the LE as opposed to a regular edition later on in the future. Whenever possible I try to grab what I can from them as their LE's are second to none. I've already spent close to $200 between the VS sale and now this pre-order and so I need to wait until sometime next week or beyond, but I'm hoping that the MAY LE lasts for a while as I'd like to order that from them as well. That I've seen many times and know what to expect and while not being a huge fan, Second Sights work is enough to make me spring for the LE once again.
