Nice Story

[Blu Titan]

Ok. I am not an insider, a Sony stockholder, or a BDA member. Just a big fan of Blu. This story is true (I do not have the energy, nor the imagination to make it up). After work, I stopped by my nearest Best Buy ( had to get my tuesday fix ). I was looking at the movies in the Blu-ray section, an older customer, and a Magnolia Theater employee came by. The Best Buy employee was 100% neutral, he just told the customer "this is the Blu-ray and HD DVD movie area some of the titles are released in both formats". Obviously, I felt the nerd in me wanting to say something, but I am not the type to interrupt and make an a** out of myself. The was silence between the two of them. Suddently, the customer looked and asked me, " What do you think?" I told him I was not an expert, but an avid fan of the home theater experience. He told me that he wanted my perspective. I proceeded to tell him all of the advantages of Blu-Ray (he loved the PCM audio). The employee just listened and nodded his head (maybe I was informing him too). The customer picked three movies and told the employee "I am going with the Blu-Ray" Obviously, I was very impressed with myself . There is no need to be agressive, or to lie like the Duders. Lets just inform everyone in a nice way, and things will happen.

Yea, i've done the same thing a couple times. I try not to butt in on the stores sales, no matter my opinion, but if they ask my opinion...OH IT'S ON!!!!

Yes.He was an older gentleman. Purchased the Sony BDP S-300.
