Default BD menu screenshots

I'm thinking about getting PS 3 and of course I also want to use it as Blu Ray player. Is there a web site where I can see screenshots of menus for BD ? I looked here but not so much to look at. Here's an example of what I need:

Well, one of the main advantages of BD is better studio support and when I was at my local electronics store I saw one of Universal menus for HD DVD and it was too simple. Nothing special. Not something that you would expect from advanced format. I've heard a lot of good things about BD, now I wanted to see how it looks like.

sorry I dont know of any website that would show bluray menu screenshots from a PS3.

I would say that Menu's are different from movie to movie, much less to compare with HD-DVD. So for one movie, the menu could look good and another could be plain and simple. Some movies start at the Menu, and some play the movie and you have to call up the menu, but its pop-up and dont have to stop the disc.

Aside from all that, I have a PS3 as my bluray player and its awesome. You can pop up the menu at any time during a movie, while the movie is still playing and change the settings. Very convenient.

The PS3 Bluray Remote is great. Only downside I can think of is I wish it could light up in the dark like some remotes do. Other than that its a much appreciated remote PS3 control for movies.

Thanks for the info. It's great that you can keep the movie playing and change settings. Certainly a big advantage compared to DVD.

also keep in mind, the ps3 is a VERY powerful machine. Its full potential is unknown, and it is constantly being updated with the latest and greatest firmware capabilities.

As for Bluray play back, the pic quality is amazing and Lossless audio is outstanding, another HUGE difference between bluray and hd-dvd.

Well, can't provide any screenshots, but WHEN you do get your PS3 and you want to see what is possible (and it's only the beginning of potentially wicked menu authoring) check out 'The Guardian', 'The Prestige', and (I think) 'Ladder 49'. They have some really interesting use of BD-Java menu authoring that provides smooth and interesting menu design while playback of the film continues.
