Default Format War - Choosing Sides

Did a search and couldn't find any polls just for format choice. Of course, this is Blu-ray.com which should have significant affect on the numbers, but some of the numbers may still be interesting given the last few weeks of news (and on-going news...)

So, this poll is to draw your line in the sand. Where do you stand?

Together we stand, divided we fall. I'd say we are standing tall.

Default Blu-ray or the highway

Sorry, but I wouldn't waste a quarter on a bitrate starved, low storage capacity, extension of dated technology better known as HD DVD.

I'm a true Blu blooded American! I've seen movies on a hd dvd player and I personally like Blu a thousand times more. Better technology, and better quality players. I mean a $199 hd dvd player? How desperate are they? I guarantee it won't be worth a crap either. I mean Toshiba?! Come on, I haven't seen anything they've put out as far as CE products that were worth anything.

Come on, you should not be on this site if you are not 100% Blu, but OK if you are just checking out what is going on with Blu-ray.

Only one thing wrong with this poll. The colored bars are mixed up. Should have a blue bar for blu ray and a red one for HD DVD.

That's a good idea, maybe if I had put HD DVD first in the options for the poll it would have the red bar?

Yeah, I kinda noted that this is Blu-ray.com on the initial post, which gives the expected high number of Blu. I'm more interested in seeing if there's any pull to format neutrality over time, other than what I've seen from a few individual forum members over the last several months. Hope that clears up the purpose for you.

It would be interesting to see the results of the same poll over at AV(M)S, but I've never joined, just checked out a few threads from what Penton, Paid, and others have linked in the Insiders Forum here.
