Default This was a nice read!

I bought the SC-27, back in Feb. of this year. I'm very happy with it. This was the last piece of my upgrade.

I bought the magazine and read the review. Not much of a surprise! I have a sc07 and when they reviewed it they raved about it . Pioneer Elite allways has and continues to build some of the best home theater recievers made

So, HDTV1080P, which receiver (or pre/pro) are you using yourself?

Depends on the room I am watching the Blu-ray in. Sometimes the Pioneer SC-07. Most of my family members are using a Pioneer PRO-141FD or PRO-101FD with a Pioneer A/V receiver or other brand. When I go visit some family members in another state one of them is using a Yamaha receiver on a Pioneer PRO-101FD. I know several family members in another state that have Pioneer PRO-141FD’s with a SC-07 receivers with full tower speakers. The SC-09 was an interesting receiver but I went for the lower cost SC-07 instead.

Sometimes I do a lot of late night Blu-ray watching and end up having to use stereo headphones and do not get to hear the surround sound experience.

I am not sure what my next A/V receiver will be. I like the Pioneer SC-37 but I wish it had the HD digital Radio option. Hopefully Pioneer in 2011 will offer a few A/V receivers with HD Radios. Onkyo, Denon, Yamaha, and most other A/V receiver manufactories have HD Radio tuners in the higher end models.

Nice, the Pioneer Elite SC-07 is a great receiver!

* And thanks for a very detailed post on which receiver you use (life story telling with the entire family)!
...Pioneer Plasma Kuros; well, they're simply the best!

** As for HD Radio, you can always get a separate HD Digital Tuner box.

Default Take heart Pioneer Fans, the Elite is ranked higher

than the more expensive Onkyo 5008!

This is the verdict by the German website Area DVD: pls click on the links below:

I love my Pioneer.
For whoever did the review perhaps, but not for me though! ...And others as well.

* Besides AREA DVD is well known to prefer manually adjustable Auto Room EQs, like Advanced MCACC from Pioneer and YPAO from Yamaha.
They don't like that you cannot manually adjust Audyssey.

Anyhow, the Pioneer Elite receivers are really good.
So are the flagship Onkyos, Denons, Yamahas, Marantzs... They're all very good.
