United Kingdom Samsungs 2D -3D Conversion!

I just purchased a Samsung UE46C7000. THE 2D - 3D Conversion is superb. Watched the dark knight and the wizard of oz in 3D. Amazing looking. What u guys think ?

I have a 7000 as well. It's my first 1080p TV. Yeah, I was surprised by the conversion. It's a nice option to have. There are times when it really adds some nice depth to the picture. I've not used it a lot though. Mostly because I want to save the battery in my glasses for the real 3D.

Great TV though, beautiful picture.

Glad to hear the conversion is nice. I saw a tiny bit of converted 3D for a football game on a Samsung I think and wasn't impressed. Still, I think I just need to see the proper content to get a better overview rather than seeing converted sports or TV advertisements. Still would really like to have a 3DTV with the conversion feature!

The conversion is a nice feature, but it's not good to use for everything. I watched Transformers 2 and it looked great with the conversion. When I tried watching tv shows or sports, it didn't add much.

My overall thoughts are much like the other tv's, just meh. Highly detailed, low grained images where what is going on screen is absolutly chaos can look quite good, and hence the imax scenes from dark knight probably convert better then the rest of the film (much like Transformers 2 do, in which the imax scenes look good converted but I find the rest of the film to look crappy converted). However the slow talking scenes seem (and based on the industry) are the hardest to convert. Personally the only things I ever use the conversion for are some games like vanquish. Otherwise, I don't care for it at all. Though it is a nice feature to have and it can only get better (hopefully), maybe one day they will be able to convert with good result on the fly but that time (if ever) is a long way of.
