OK Guys, the Gluckman article will be released to the masses tomorrow and also CEDIA begins. I am anticipating that the Gluckman article will generate negative press for Paramount as it will confirm that Paramount went to HD-DVD only because of a pay-off, not because of the "technical benefits of HD-DVD."

Tonight would be the best time for us to each independently send an email to Kelley Avery at Paramount voicing our desire for Paramount to begin releasing its films on Blu-ray again.

Hello Mrs. Avery,

I just wanted to tell you how disappointed I am that your company decided to pledge their exclusivity to a dying and inferior format know as HD DVD. I've been a huge fan of many Paramount releases over the years both epic and small scale, and I felt betrayed after last week's announcement that Paramount chose to abandon a clearly superior and more popular format for what seems to be a greed driven little deal worth $150 million.
I can only hope that somehow the higher ups, such as yourself, at Paramount will realize the gravity of your mistake and somehow be swayed by the majority consensus that Blu-ray is indeed the way to go for the future of hi-def movies. Just look at 2007 sales figures for both formats on a worldwide scale and you will quickly realize that Blu-ray is already enjoying a 2:1 advantage in discs sold, and that gap will only widen as more consumers realize the benefits of Blu-ray over HD DVD and as the prices of the new generation of players released this fall will inevitably drop to further show that Blu-ray is committed itself to mass market adoption on a large scale.
I appreciate the opportunity to express my opinions today that are shared by thousands of my fellow early Blu-ray adopters.

The recent decision by Paramount to drop Blu-Ray was disheartening for me. Over the years I have been a big fan of Paramount movies, including the much beloved Star Trek franchise.

Over my lifetime, I have spent thousands of dollars on Paramount re-releases, movies, and TV shows. I planned to do so even more with your previously upcoming Jack Ryan Collection for Blu-Ray.

Like a lot of High Def junkies, we want this format war to end. We want mass adoption. Right now, with better technical specifications, CE support, disc space, sales ratios, stand alone sale percents, total players available (including PS3), and disc cost, etc, Blu-Ray was and still is the better choice for this to happen.

Prior to your move, HD-DVD had one exclusive studio supporting it -- Universal. All that was needed for the war to end was for Universal to see the light and turn neutral.

Please reconsider your decision about Blu-Ray, and pro-actively change your stance into a way that shortens the format war -- not lengthens it back to neutrality. I want the best quality available, which HD-DVD can not provide compared to Blu-Ray. That leaves me your potential customer one decision, and that is to buy product from other Blu-Ray studios and support them with my wallet.

If tonight is the night, could you please also reference her to the prior deluge of emails they received? Surely they have an archive somewhere on received emails about BR if they are compliant. Being that it's Labor day, many folks here are not even at the computer or at work.
