When I first saw this, I thought it was going to be a joke. However I was pleasantly surprised to find out that this is a very nice tribute from PBS Digital to the late great Fred Rogers.
For those of you who may not be old enough to remember, Mr. Rogers Neighborhood was a children's show that ran on PBS from 1968 -2001. Fred Rogers was beloved by millions of children worldwide. He was a very kind and gentle soul that cared about nothing but helping children. On his TV show he encouraged children to discover and always use their imaginations. His "Neighborhood of Make Believe" characters became icons to many and his lessons still ring true to this day. Enjoy this amazing tribute to one our most beloved national treasures! (And before anyone else says it. Fred Rogers was not a pedophile, nor was he a military sniper who killed a bunch of people. He never served in any branch of the armed forces). R.I.P. Fred Rogers! We miss you very much! Last edited by Steelmaker; 06-09-2012 at 12:14 PM. |

Holy smokes.
If you would have told me in advance that it was a synthesized remix rap song using and altering his own voice, I would have come unglued and DAMNED it as a huge insult before even watching it. I would have been very wrong. It was beautiful. I shed a few tears. |

one must remember he was a minister as well.
one odd thing is two of the actors on his show were in some of George A Romero films, the two actors were Bob Trow and Chuck Aber Michael Keaton also worked behind the scenes on the show before he was famous |
