I'm thinking that it will be focused on the iPod more than anything else.

There might be a small chance that Apple could release a USB2 based Blu-ray drive add-on for the Apple TV.

I've been expecting a Mac Pro with a built in Blu-ray Super Drive, as well as the software necessary to read/write for awhile.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but this is most likely iPod/Apple TV/iPhone/iTunes update. Not Mac related.

The BDA better sort its shit out quick here in europe, cause apple has just started releasing TV shows on itunes (took them long enough) and it will be no time before we see movies on there. This could really slow the movie market in Europe.

Just thought I'd start a thread for discussion on the Apple event being held September 5th at 10am PT, 1pm ET

Rumors circulating include widescreen touchscreen ipod, similar to the iphone. New ipod nano's (smaller, bigger screen).
