Default Pulp Fiction.... where to import from?

Love this movie and am looking to buy it. I'm guessing it hasn't been released yet on blu-ray?

Not in the US. But in Europe, Australia and Asia. With some regional differences.

The Hong Kong release should be region A compatible, but as far as I know, all the various European releases as well as the Australian, is locked to region B.

Yeah you're right. My bad. The Scandinavian and French are locked to B, though.

I have the Danish edition, which seems pretty good to me, but I'm wondering whether the Hong Kong one might be better. Has anyone compared them?

The Danish edition is bare-bones - does the Hong Kong edition have any extras?

I have the Danish and the Polish. The Polish looks a little bit better to me. But the difference is very very small, don't worry about it. (Polish is the same as the HK version)

The HK and Polish versions are apparently the same and look the best, but the former was issued with a slip, so HK all the way.

If you are going to buy it now and not wait for the US bd, go with the Polish one. As they say a few posts up the scandinavian version is locked to B.

This film is an American classic and yet us here in the US and A don't get a domestic blu release. But soon one can get a blu copy of "Flipper" with Paul hogan, go figure...

Well, studio politics. PUlp Fiction is part of the Miramax studio collection. It was a subsidiary of Disney, which decided that the bulk of Miramax movies just didn't fit with their Disney "family" image and released very few on blu-ray. Disney recently sold Miramax, and the group which bought it say they're interested primarily in video on demand rights and will contract out any physical media (blu-ray/DVD) production. So, we may see a flood of Miramax blu-ray releases in 2011. Or, maybe not.

Patience is not one of my strong suits, and I bought Pulp Fiction well over a year ago. I have the French release, with excellent PQ & AQ and a beautiful Steelbook. But not only is is Region B 'locked', it has forced French subtitles when the English audio is selected. But with my Panasonic AE4000 projector, I have a pre-set that lowers the bottom of the picture to the bottom of the screen, which gets rid of the subs.
