Hey guys I searched a little about this question but just wanted some reassurance on it. Downstairs I have a 40" LCD and I wanted to mount a 19" at my bar. This will all be in the same part of my basement, I just wanted the 19" for people with their backs to the 40". Basically what I wanted to do was just mirror(have the same channel on both TV's at the same time) but I only have one Comcast digital cable box.
So I bought a splitter(1 in- 3 out) so I was thinking hook the cable wire coming into the basement with the splitter then feed one cable wire to one TV then the other to the other TV. Then I have HDMI, so I'll hook HDMI from cable box to the 40" and then use composite cables out of the cable box and run them to the 19". Will this mirror my display and will it work? Is there a better or easier way? Also my box supports HD and the two TV's are HD, so if I'm watching an HD channel on the 40" will the 19" be in HD? Thanks in advance for your help guys, and sorry if this is in the wrong section. |

I dont see a reason to use the splitter if you are going to use HDMI and composite, I would think that hooking up one tv via HDMI and the other via composite would work just fine. I have directv, so I cant be sure, but I do know that if you are hooking up a TV with HDMI there is no need to use coax cable (cable wire) too hook up anything except for from the wall to the box.
