Default Sony BDZ-S77 - Blu-Ray disc format

Hi, it's my first time here and I need help concerning the first Sony's blue-ray discs. I have a Sony BDZ-S77 which comes with a bd disc involved in a jewel case. It has writen "Bravia 2006 - Spring Demonstration - Bravia Logo", "23Gb" and "J3426". I've tried to play normal bd discs but, it doesn't recognize them, only CD.The problem is that I don't find this strange format anywhere! Does anyone know where I can find them? Best regards to all,

PS: this is a full Japanese version, 110Vac and ... the remote control is also in Japanese!

Is this your Player(see attachment at bottom)? Things a behemoth. I'm assuming you purchased this in Portugal? In which case it is probably a Region B player, which means that you can buy blu-ray discs from any of these places:

Cool! Was that one of the first players prior to launch?

So you're saying that the player won't play Blu-rays? Since it's a Japanese player, it will only play American and Japanese releases, and region-free discs from Europe.
