Okay, so I've always used IE as a web browser (and it's the only browser approved by my company for use when accessing company sites, etc.). My brother-in-law has been visiting for the past few days, and advised me to switch to Chrome because it is much faster than IE. We ran some side-by-side speed tests and I saw for myself that it was faster. I loaded Chrome and started using it a few days ago.
Begining Thursday night, I started noticing my computer wi-fi would shut off after using Chrome for any length of time. I ran numerous malware and virus scans, thinking that may have been an issue, but everything was clean. I would need to reboot in order for wi-fi to re-enable, as no amount of screwing with it would get it to work. I've now been back on IE since yesterday, and I have no connection problems. Anyone hear of this? It only seems to be my computer, as I loaded Chrome on my wife's netbook and son's laptop, and both seen to have no issues. Would Firefox be a better choice? Looking for suggestions. ![]() |
