 Bruce Springsteen: The Promise - The Darkness on the Edge of Town Blu-ray http://artsbeat.blogs.nytimes.com/20...-edge-of-town/ Bruce Springsteen is releasing The Promise, a 2-disc set containing unreleased songs from the sessions that produced his landmark '78 album Darkness on the Edge of Town. The "full monty" version, The Promise: The Darkness on the Edge of Town Story, includes a remastered version of the original album, a "making of" documentary, a live video of a 2009 performance of the album and a concert video from the Houston stop on the '78 tour. The video portions of this set are available on either DVD (MSRP $115) and Blu-ray (MSRP $125). If you order from Sony, it includes an exclusive poster and t-shirt.
