Default PS3 update
I've heard on several different forums about how PS3 owners are anticipating a PS3 firmware update that will enable PS3 consoles to receive HD audio bitstreams, such as TrueHD and DTS-master audio via HDMI 1.3 to be decoded by receivers, such as the new Onkyo that I just purchased, the 605, which sounds awesome by the way . Is this just wishful thinking or is this an actual possibility? I don't see the need to purchase a receiver with HDMI 1.3 (for now at least) if there is no way for a receiver to receive a DTS-HD or True HD bitstream. Am I alone in thinking this?
