Question Any Best Buy insiders?

To those that are "in the know" or work at BB. A few months ago they ran a special where if you bought beauty and the beast and cars together you saved some money. I also had the $10 coupon but the cashier said that the computer would only take one, is this true

They are currently running a special if u buy Sorceres Ap. and Fantasia together you save $10 plus I have two seperate $10 disney coupons for each. I really want to get sa and fantasia for my daughter a but have a bad taste in my mouth with best buy now. Is there anything I can say if they try to pull that stunt again.

This is completely YMMV. If you look over the threads for the B&B offer or the Fantasia one, you'll see varying results from using all promos/coupons no problem to managers that strictly would only allow one coupon or promo.

The answer to your question is no, they are wrong, the computer is able to do it. If it was another STORE promo or coupon, they might not be able to do both, but MANUFACTURER/VENDOR coupons are counted as a form of payment, not a markdown, so the computer will accept them on top of ANY promotion.

However, even if the computer can take it, the employees/management may not allow it. Like I said, YMMV.

You'll probably have better luck using all 3 coupons/promos at Target.

There shouldn't be any YMMV, as these are manufacturer's coupons, which are as good as cash. That being said, BB has been known for having idiot managers and employees who seem to go out of their way NOT to accept coupons. For this reason alone, I refuse to buy anything from them that I can get somewhere else.

Go to Target to get the same deal. They don't have any problem with coupons, and will even allow you to use these on the "cheaper" BD versions, if they are available. The only problem may be finding both movies at a Target this late in the week. I waited until Wednesday, and only found a copy of S.A. at one of three stores I visited. None of them had any copies of Fantasia, though I went back yesterday, found a lone copy on the shelf and was able to get the deal.

Good luck.

Wow, you waited until Tuesday? Not much of a wait considering that was the day they were released! :P

I agree and like to shop at BB. But when it comes to using coupons BB staff turn into Neanderthals! Target offers less hassle!

+1 for Target. I even had a lengthy conversation with a Best Buy Corporate representative over the hassles I get trying to price-match and use manufacturer's coupons at Best Buy. I told him, flat out, that I prefer to shop at Target because they don't have a problem doing this. He agreed with me and said that they are trying to get the info out to all of their stores about using the manufacturer's coupons. Take it for what it's worth, but if more people complain to their corporate office about their shoddy practices when it comes to manufacturer's coupons, I think it will eventually filter down to all of their stores.

I just got off the phone with customer service. She stated and I quote "it depends on the store manager, sometimes some are nicer than others" then I waited for 25 minutes for her to try and contact the store that Ive been trying to contact for the past hour I emailed best buy and gave them the whole story which I know wont go anywhere. From now on Im taking my business to Target and Amazon. Sad when I just spent over $4000 in electronics for my theater.

FYI this thread was fowarded to them also so they can see Im not making up the negative comments about their stores....

Update: The customer service rep was able to to finally get someone to answer the phone at the store She spoke with the store mngr who said that she would accept the coupons. I said thank you but in the back of my head still knew this was going to be a problem.

Went into the store around 6:30pm picked up both copys and went to the register, she scanned both of them and took the coupons, my wife payed (she had my wallet.. go figure) I get to the car and something made me look at the receipt. They DID NOT take off the $10 savings I went back in to customer service and the lady basically told me that is kind of double dipping that they cant do that Now I got pissed and explained to her that I was on the phone with corporate for 1hr and they spoke with the store manager (gave the name) who said it was ok. After 15min. I finally recieved my refund.

Long story short. I used my remaining store credit 12/3/2010 at Best Buy the same day as my five year anniversary, and it will also be the anniversary of the last day that I buy anything at Best Buy.
