Default What great literary adaptations would you like on blu?

One I'd vote for would be the wonderful adaptation of Little Women from 1994. Amazing movie. Great cast including Winona Ryder, Gabriel Byrne, Susan Sarandon, Christian Bale, etc., etc.

Thumbs up Just a few to add to your list...

John Steinbeck's The Grapes of Wrath (1940)
Directed by John Ford. Starring Henry Fonda, Jane Darwell, John Carradine.

F. Scott Fitzgerald's The Great Gatsby (1974)
Directed by Jack Clayton. Starring Robert Redford, Mia Farrow, Bruce Dern.

E.L.Doctorow's Ragtime (1981)
Directed by Milos Forman. Starring James Cagney, Brad Dourif, Moses Gunn.

Arthur Miller's The Crucible (1996)
Directed by Nicholas Hytner. Starring Daniel Day-Lewis, Winona Ryder, Paul Scofield.

William Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet (1968)
Directed by Franco Zeffirelli. Starring Olivia Hussey, Milo O'Shea, Michael York.

I know there are a lot more that should be brought to Blu-Ray.

Why George Orwell's 1984 of course, either version will do, but I lean towards the 1984 version with John Hurt myself.

I'd much rather have Return to Oz on Blu-ray compared to the overrated 1939 The Wizard of Oz musical. Return to Oz is in fact closer in feel of the L. Frank Baum books compared to the musical. Anyone who states otherwise didn't do the research or hasn't read the stories.

Return to Oz would be amazing, but I doubt we will ever see it
