Man after a LONG absence, Tecmo is finally bringing this series back! The first 3 games were released on the PS1 and a spiritual successor caleld Trapt came out on the PS2, but otherwise it seems as if this franchise was done for. So awesome that its returning and best news is that its coming to EU and NA in early 2014!

I was interested in this game. Hit two GameStops and two Best Buys today - nothing. One GameStop told me each store only received a single copy. Amazon (which is currently out of stock) jacked up the price to $60 just as I was about to order. Bummer.
I know it's available on the PSN but I would rather have a physical copy if I'm going to pay full price for a game. |

So, Deception IV: The Nightmare Princess was released in North America for PS4, PS3, and Vita. This includes all of the content from the previous release, Deception IV: Blood Ties, plus additional stages, characters, and traps. A couple of things irk me:
1) No physical release for PS3 in NA. 2) $50? Why is this priced at $50 (even the digital download)? I get that this is a niche title, but this is an expansion for a game that was released more than a year ago. I will be surprised if this sells very well at that price. I thought the previous release of the game maybe shouldn't have been a full priced title. I enjoyed Blood Ties, but I'll wait for a price drop on The Nightmare Princess. |

I suppose the problem is that the expansion is not available alone. So, if you've already spent $60 on the game, another $50 to get the additional maps, etc. (and the ability to save between rounds!) is a bit hard to swallow. Moreover, it feels like this is the version we should have gotten the first time around.
