Default Hidef Digest Advertisment

well, I was checking out the newer movie reviews and just for the hell of it I clicked onto the Yes: Live at Montreux HD-DVD Review...

and right away I notice a Sony advertisement for Bluray!

thought it was funny and wanted to share.

I luv it.

That's just bad placement.

Enjoyable, yet I can't find a reason to contribute to that site.....I get a headache each time I try to read something on it.

Haha, that's funny.

They should do that on any HD-DVD page.

Places Blu-ray ads should go:
-Review pages for HD-DVD players
-Right next to the HD-DVD end caps at stores
-Include a Blu-ray pamphlet in all HD-DVD movie cases
- ...stuff like that, lol

It seems IT IS on every HD-DVD page! just went through a few of them, even Blades of Glory

I especially luv when the add asks:

Bluray speaks what languages fluently?

-1080p

-Dolby TrueHD

-DTS HD 7.1

-All of the Above

while Blades of Glory HD-DVD is stuck with DD PLus

Above is a funny one I found a while back in a review for the HD DVD Star Trek Season One box set. If you mouse your cursor over the word "HD" in green in the first sentance, watch what ad pops up.
It's a different ad than what was on there a couple of weeks ago (It was a giant Blu-Ray Logo), but the new one is Blu as well.

Don't be surprised if the placement is intentional.

This war is about to get _really really really_ dirty. This holiday season is make or break, especially for HDDVD, so they will be throwing everything into it. Blu-ray will have to really ramp up to counter it to ensure victory by holiday 2008.

It's going to be VERY dirty play from both sides soon I suspect. A lot of bridges are about to get burned in Hollyweird... A lot of bridges.
