United Kingdom The Kingdom

Interested to know whether the UK version has burnt in subs or player generated.
The UK DVD had player generated, the US BD has burnt in, so I'd like to know how the UK BD was encoded (maybe it uses the same pressing as the US version).

Dunno if you're still wanting to know but I can confirm that the UK blu has all player generated captions and subtitles.

I didn't realise just how many people and place captions there were in this movie! Of course they are all mistimed because they never take into account the little bit of extra time that burnt in captions have for fading in and fading out, meaning that with player gen captions you never have enough time to read them!

Another UK Universal title that suffers badly from this is 'Frost/Nixon'. Some captions there are blink and you miss them because of the way they refuse to time them properly.

Thanks for taking the time to add those details. I'll keep my eyes peeled for the US version at a good price.
