I would normally think this to be bad news for BD. The average consumer isn't going to be aware of how much space is there... they just care about perceived value.

But the real kicker is rentals. Netflix should logically see higher demand for the single disc BD.

LOL, as if the lack of the TrueHD track on Blades of Glory wasn't enough proof for them

Well at least with all those replication issues Blu-ray seems to have, it won't be a problem if all you need is one disc.

Not enough bandwidth for lossless audio. It wouldn't matter if HD-DVD had 51 gigs... they can't push the audio and video together.

Eat that HD-DUD !! Just like the Xbox 360 game discs.....not enough space...

ALL Blu-ray movies should be on 1 disc! I've bought a few that are on 2...

Hah! I needed a quick chuckle before I leave... It isn't about storage space. It is all about bandwidth. So if you love lossless audio (which you will if you heard it)... then you MUST have Blu-ray.

those two DMC Discs have 75GB, impossible for HD DVD to get this on 2 Discs.

me in fact, compared the same movie on both formats by the same studio!!

I can see that, but this is a physical representation of an argument of what's been said(FUD) and what is actually true.

BoG had a PCM track on Blu-ray.

This is great news, especially since there hasn't been a title yet (that I'm aware of) that so obviously points out the shortcomings of HD DVD's lack of storage space. Hopefully Warner keeps this up and includes uncompressed audio on its Blu-ray release from now on. DD+ . . . Man, I better switch to HD DVD

indeed, also lets hope warner will use in future a diferent videotransfer for Blu-ray, AVC with high bitrates would be nice.

Enjoy, the lossy soundtrack HD-DUDers!

What a bunch of losers, not only to they have the inferior format, but they think cheap chinese players will wipe out all studio support and massive hardware support BD enjoys overnight!!

It has yet to be confirmed if the framing on the BD is incorrect, or the framing on the DVD was incorrect.

Would you have noticed if it wasn't pointed out?
Or are you just trolling?
