What you will need is:
- Lighter Fluid (can be picked up from Repco in 1ltr bottle for around $8.) - Rag - OPTIONAL - Razor blade. (one side needs to be taped for safety) Remove paper insert. Place flat on a surface. You'll need to get one corner of your rag and fold it several times so that you have 3-4 layers the size of the sticker you wish to remove. Soak the rag. Placing it on top of the sticker. Press down with force and hold for 3-5 minutes. (give or take of estimated time) The aim is to soak the stickers surface. So that it appears drenched (semi transparent) You can use your fingernail. But I like too use a razor blade (when sicker is on a paper surface). Place it under a corner of the sticker and gently lift the sticker up. The more soaked the sticker is the easier it is to peel back. Now once that's done. You'll notice there's a little residue left over from the sticker. Simply dab your cloth on top & gently flick (don't rub), as the ink on paper insert will smudge/run with repeated rubs. (pick up the insert and angle in the light to see if the residue is gone, as you will notice the shiny paper will have dots of adhesive or not.) You want to completely remove sticker/residue as if it wasn't there in the first place. (stickers on plastic is way easier to remove than paper, because on plastic the sticker just slides off once the stickers adhesive is completely dissolved. Paper is a little bit more trickier.) In time with practice it will become second nature. Hope that helps. |
