Default About to make the 3d step. Question About the Glasses

Is there a quality difference between dlp link and ir emitter glasses? Also, where would you suggest buying glasses in a store and NOT online? I know HHGreg has IR ones, but I havent been able to find any dlp link ones. any suggestions would be great. My tv is a mits wd 65738

No replies yet? 96 views. Guess no one knows about this. If someone does please let me know. Right now Im looking at a wired pair of glasses for 39$ I doubt they will work with my tv, checked with the manufacturer but waiting for an email reply. Would really like input if someone has it. Im sure those glasses, even if they do work, arent alll that good, but I am looking for a cheap option right now. The 3d was more of a bonus, and not the reason I got the tv in the first place.

Some people like DLP link glasses and others like the Samsung (sold by Mits) with the emitter. Some people have had problems with DLP link glasses loosing sync - it depends upon the set, how far you are seated from the screen and lighting conditions. Their is an extensive thread on various glasses on the AVSforum (under the 3D category), I have the Samsung glasses and emitter with my two Samsung DLP sets and I am very happy with the picture quality.

I have a 65738 as well. It came with 2 pair of the Xpand 102s. I have heard good and bad with these, like everything else I guess, but I've been pretty happy with them. I did decide to try another brand just for the heck of it cuz I need a third pair anyway. Am waiting on a pair of these as we speak.
