is it region free?

i may just buy this instead.

all i know is the audio specs: DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1ch (English), DTS 5.1 (Japanese).
don't think it's region free.

that looks siick! die hard's going to be awesome! man there are way too many great things going for blu (and this is one of them)... people have to start caving in...thanks for sharing that.

The US and Japan are in the same region:A. So for Americans (and Swiss people with a US PS3

) it won't matter.

it is region free since people here have imported ps3s they wouldnt have bought them if they werent!

Fox is really stupid for not doing this in the US and is even stupider for only giving us the PG-13 version while the DVD has 2 Un-Rated versions and in the case of AVP on Blu-Ray they included both versions on 1 Blu-Ray, but of course that disc didn't have any special features.

It's clear that they are only interested in making as much money as possible with their first Blu-Ray's just like they were with their first DVD's back in the day when they also charged $40 a disc and then double-dipped down the line. I was really excited when Fox announced the 4 Die Hard films coming to Blu-Ray but the more and more information comes in about how Fox is screwing the US consumer just makes me want to wait until Fox gets the point that we know they are up to no good. You'd think the other studios would tell them they are messing things up for everyone by doing crap like this. If Fox was really concerned with Blu-Ray winning they'd have their catalog titles priced at $29.99 like everyone else.

I personally think Fox is hoping Blu-Ray fails that way they can re-sell all of their previous Blu-Ray titles on HD-DVD that way they can take the consumer for even more money.

I always wondered that too, this package make a LOT more sense to me... or at least offer both.
