My early event

My Yearly Event

It is 9:30am, Calif. time and in one hour my wife is off on her yearly, four day cruise with about 100 women from the neighborhood.

Four days, I am not going to take a shower, shave or make the bed. I am not going move from the couch. There will be a continues supply of popcorn. It is not going to be a pleasant sight.

I start in February of each year looking for and purchasing "manly" movies that I do not watch. They are save for this point of time.

The only deviation from what I will doing is when a neighbor comes over to watch Salt on Wednesday.

9:51 It is almost time to take my wife to the club house where a bus picks up all the women and leaves me free for four days of Blu watching. Four days of loud audio. Four days of beautiful HD video and great shoot em up movies.

10:00 My wife just called "it's time" I now have to take her to the bus and start my yearly, anticipated fun.

10:20 I am back. My wife is on her way and I am ready...maybe I'll plug in The Expendables first. That should get my testosterone going.

4 days of the house all to yourself Knowing my luck the power would be out as soon as I walked back in the door from taking her to the bus and wouldn't be fixed until 2 days after she got home (so I would have to listen to her cruise "stories" )

The best I can get these days is 3 or 4 hours without the wife/kids! And usually then, I still get left with a "hey, while we're gone, do this/that/this/and this/and that/etc. etc" I've shrugged off half of the "to-do" list before, and popped in a movie.... and used the "I forgot about those things" excuse, but it never ends well!

however the heck she does this, you are one lucky man.....4 days with no wife is great!!!

the most i would go outside for is to walk the dog, grab a smoke and grab some beer/cigs

Anything beyond vacuuming, which I actually enjoy doing, I will put off as LONG as possible. Although I have dubbed this year "Friendship Year" where we are going to try and get along as much as possible. I asked her what we were going to dub next year, she said "Divorce Year" I guess "Friendship Year" had already failed 2 days in, lol.

I remember when mom and I went out of the country for 6 weeks, we came back and dad hadnt mowed the lawn at all , he had been grilling steaks and eating fast food the whole time.

I hope you enjoy your 4 days though! Fun for both you and your wife.
