Just downloaded the following:

The Sayings of Confucius
Common Sense
The Art of War

There's tons more too that are all free

Yeah, anything published before 1923 (IIRC) is in the public domain, and lots of those are available on the Kindle.

edit: They've currently got 5,565 free books to choose from right in the Kindle store, and you can also download books from any of the public domain archives out there, in which case you've got literally millions of titles to choose from:

What is Mike's average time back on the site before he gets banned again? I am thinking it probably compares to the time of survival for a second lietenant being dropped into a hot zone in Vietnam.

The only thing that I've noticed about the free one's, is you can't jump through the chapters, but that isn't a big concern for a lot of people.
