Why did i not read the article correctly? ACER had made HD-DVD drives but they weren't part of the HD-DVD group. "ACER joined HD-DVD group too" was the threads title.

...yeah, I actually considered buying the Acer laptop with the built in HD-DVD, but I got the Sony FZ with the built in Blu-ray instead.

Anyone know where other PC companies stand, as far as BD/HD support?

I'm not really surprised. They just want to make it formal that they are a member. The had released both HD DVD and BD notebooks. So there.
