The term "best display" and Vizio should NEVER be uttered in the same sentence.

To answer your question in the title: NO

Seems promsing...... 21:9... no stupid shutter glasses.... Until Runco makes a 3D plasma (They have the best display period). it seems pretty nice...And Im shure the cost will be attractive ....This isnt an ultra display.... But most people dont have an ultra theater anyway...

Kudos to Vizio for making the walmart TV for the masses. It at least gets new sets out there so sales keep up on movies which benefit the rest of us.

I'm thinking I may not have an Ultra HT. It's still awesome though.

What is the point of 21:9 right now when there is no media with a high enough resolution to take advantage of it?

Since BD is not anamorphic, what is the point of a 21:9 display? All it is doing is zooming to get rid of the bars. You would never get a pixel for pixel display of the material without some sort of windowboxing.

I don't want to think of watching 1:85 or 4:3 material on a screen like that.A little to wide for me.I can live with the black bars to have a screen that is more like the one used in a theater.
