I will buy this for Anthrax alone, but I like all the other bands too. Anthrax is desperately in need of a quality live video. NFV was put on DVD with the Among the Living remaster, but the video is terrible. It's worse than a DVD made from Youtube, let alone being worse than the VHS. The audio was greatly improved, at least. (Audio was DTS at 1.5 mbps.) Alive 2 sucked. Music of Mass Destruction had good audio but terrible video. Live Noize is only available on VHS and that's my least favorite era of the band, the Public Enemy era. I know there's a DVD available, but it's not authorized. I really had hoped the Sonisphere 2009 at Knebworth (sp?) would have been released because I'm more of a John Bush fan, but I like Joey too. I know the whole thing was shot in HD and I saved the two songs they played on Palladia on AVCHD.
Hopefully they have time to fix the audio on this. In the theater it didn't sound very good until Metallica's part, and Slayer sounded especially terrible in the beginning. My friend watched in another city and experienced the same thing. ![]() |

It's a shame that this will be the fifth official Megadeth live video (assuming it comes out after Rust in Peace live) and they all have so many songs repeated.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rude_Awakening_(DVD) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/That_On..._track_listing http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Warches...five_.28DVD.29 https://www.blu-ray.com/news/?id=4791 (tracklist in the comments) Don’t get me wrong, some Megadeth songs are classics, but the same old setlists are boring. I didn’t even try to argue with my wife to go see Megadeth the last time they came to my hometown because they were only playing two new songs and then the standard hits I’ve seen so many times before. I wonder if That One Night: Live in Buenos Aires was shot in HD or just video. It has been a long time since I have watched it, but I remember the performance and the crowd were very good. I would upgrade if given the opportunity. |

Even though it's true. That's one thing nobody can knock Metallica about. Except for the few "core" songs, Metallica switches up the setlist a lot. |

Call Of Ktulu is so rarely played live by them,i know they played it at the S & M Concert, that was probably the last time they've played it.I can't wait for this blu ray it should be incredible.Wonder what the price will be,it'll be worth it.

Saw it in theater here in Milwaukee, and I too can report that the sound mix was abysmal. I chalked it up to either the projectionist set the levels wrong (there was way too much mid range, not enough low end), or a rushed mix due to the short turn around between the actual event and the live simulcast (8 hrs, give or take).
Despite the audio problems, and a couple songs they didn't show (would have loved to have heard Joey singing "Only") it was a pretty cool show. The only thing that could have made this show even sweeter would have been if Heaven & Hell had been able to perform as scheduled. Anthrax was awesome enough to break into "Heaven & Hell" in the middle of "Indians", and they showed interviews w/ some of the guys telling Ronnie James Dio stories. All in all, this might actually trump Flight 666 as the most awesome metal blu. |

Besides all that, Metallica's "Fracais Pour Une Nuit" is by far the most awesome metal Blu-Ray so far. |

I too would buy this just for Anthrax. I hope they do a good job on the A\V. I'm very happy with the set list from each band. I would like to see Anthrax release a really solid show featuring alot of music from the early to mid history of albums. Maybe that can happen now that they have Joey and if this does well in sales. I'm even breaking out the old metal posters for this release.

Will buy it for Slayer mostly. The best of the so-called "Big Four".
Megadeth musically sounds great still but Mustaine's voice has become more annoying live. Their newest CD "Endgame" is their best in years. At least Metallica is getting back to their roots. Pretty good setlist for the most part. Anthrax..meh.. |
