Default Black Hawk Down (Extended)

im watching black hawk right now,one of my favorite movies ever,and was just wondering how come the extended was never realesed on blu?i think the extended was pretty good and at that why not port over the PQ/AQ from the scandavalion version(hope i spelled that right) im pretty sure alot of members here would like a defenitive version of this film all in one package

If I remember correctly the Extended version was not made by Ridley Scott but by the studio hence the current version is the director's preferred version.

Or in another words, it is the version approved from the perpective of how individuals had worked as a team, which it is the directors responsibility to oversee.

That is correct and you're not missing much in the extended cut anyway. It is only eight minutes longer and is mainly comprised of extended dialogue. The battle sequences are exactly the same as on the theatrical cut.

I was thinking I might have to double dip in the future, but if this is the case of just added dialogue, then I can live with the current version

Yeah, the differences are minute. Most of the extended dialogue comes from Hartnett's, McGregor's, and Bana's characters, but it's nothing that really changes the film other than slowing the pacing down. This is probably why Scott cut these bits out, so he could get the film close to a 2 hour running time.

i liked the added 8minutes,it wasnt only dialogue there was also some training sequences also
