United Kingdom Locating the proof of purchase tab on Toy Story

Evening all,

After finally signing up for Disney Movie Rewards, I realised that my copy of Toy Story didn't include the code. I have contacted Disney and they require either the receipt (lost) or the proof of purchase tab.

I can't seem to find the proof of purchase tab so was woundering if anybody knows where it is?

Do you know the format of it?

Above the barcode is "BUY0137802"

My Toy Story SE doesn't even have a barcode or PoP. My UP doesn't either.

The back of yours is missing quite a lot of things mine has.

I presume your copy is from the Toy Story/Toy Story 2 double-pack? My separate releases both have the barcodes on the slipcover and inner sleeve. That doesn't explain why Prince of Persia or Up haven't got barcodes though, as both of mine do.

I don't think UK releases have a proof of purchase tab - I thought that was just US releases?

No it isn't from the double pack, Up and Toy Story were part of the collection that came with my BD player. Is it possible they're promotional items? They've both got the leaflet for DMR but no codes.

just to make sure you did sign up on the UK reward site, those 'proof of purchase' marks above bar codes I find are more common on US releases.

That explains it - they're not intended to be for sale, so I presume that's why there aren't barcodes on the back.

How long did they take to get back to you? I emailed them to say I didn't get a code in my Fantasia/Fantasia 2000 about 3 weeks ago and haven't received a reply. Also the Pinocchio I got today didn't have a code.

My Pinocchio I got last week didn't have a code.. I assume it's an old copy before DMR fully started. I am waiting for them to reply too.

Also find it annoying that the Pixar BDs I bought before the DMR was launched in this country aren't valid for getting codes... oh well... you win some you loose some it all evens out in the end...

Shame the other four films came with barcodes, I guess it's just Disney working its magic.... Below is the proper back cover. Were all the releases combo packs? Were the double sets single BD's only?

If Pinocchio didn't have a code. How was it scanned?, it must have had a stickered barcode on the wrapper.

Edit: Sorry just guessed you were talking about the DMR code not a barcode.

The Combi pack was Blu-ray only. Here's the back cover for TS1 which came in the Combi. For the most part the your cover is the same as the retail with the exception of the DMR advertisement, UPC Code, and rearrangement of the logos.

I just noticed that the UK calls them Combi vs. Combo packs as they call them in the US.

Did you order online or pick it up at a retail store? If it's the former you may be able to print out a receipt or invoice from their web site.

Sadly I brought it at a retail store so I have no record. I emailed Disney about 3 weeks ago so you should get a reply soon. I'm not that bothered by the code it's just annoying (I'm more than likely going to buy the boxset of all 3 and that should come with a high value code)

Does anybody know how long it takes for rewards to be delivered? Still waiting on The Princess and the Frog

I ordered Princess and the Frog in September and it still hasn't been delivered. They ignored my first 6 emails, then finally confirmed in December that it was still awaiting to be sent to me.

These disney rewards are all a bit of a con as far as i'm concerned.

As for missing rewards, I purchased Prince of Persia from Morrisons (never buy Disney titles there as they open the packaging and remove the vouchers!!!), which had no leaflets inside but Disney won't give me the points unless I can send my receipt which I no longer have, and it was the 2nd day of release when I purchased it and emailed Disney because I wanted the double points.

Seriously annoyed and tempted not to buy any brand new Disney Blu's again!!!

It took 18 days (I redeemed on the 13th of December) for my Snow White to be delivered including Christmas and New Year. It's a shame you have had a bad experience with PoP by not having the vouchers especially as it was the 1st week buy. Morrisons shouldn't have removed anything out of the case and their policy of taking the discs out of things more expensice than £7 is ridiculous to say the least considering they often don't remove the discs on big releases (which PoP was).

Before long Disney will want you to hold your up purchase next to todays newspaper. "Redeem my points or Snow White get's it!" They could be a bit more lenient. Give them another chance as you'll miss out on some good offers.

Yeah, to me a combo is pressing the square button three times on the PS2 during Tekken 3. But that's just me....
