I don't know what the intended look of the movie is, but the screenshots in the review show some fairly moderate filtering and edge ringing. Jake Gyllenhaal looks like a cartoon in this shot: https://images4.static-bluray.com/re...91_1_1080p.jpg

I also don't understand this quote from the site's review:

As with most films finished on a DI, there is almost no visible grain, but this is inherent in the source.

Most films are finished on a DI these days and show grain if the they were shot on film, unless of course the grain has been digitally scrubbed.
