Hi I presently own a Runco DLP DR-300 Projector that I need to calibrate for a laserdisc player .The picture I am getting is a little grainy ,The whites in the background look like blocks and not right .
I just purchased A video Standard from ebay , But I'm unsure how to use it . I cant find avia in the laserdisc form just the older Joe Kane A Video Standard . I tried To understand it but its like reading from another world . I seen on some website that Modern DLP Projectors are not setup for analog players no more , just for dvd and blu-ray only .I also seen them talk about a scaler box named dvdo .this was a line doubler for the scan lines . I don't thing I am going to need this box for laserdisc player I have which is a Marantz LV-520 . So what I am asking for help calibrate the projector for the laserdisc player . I remember it being a much better picture quality then I am presently getting right now . I know that laserdisc Came close in quality as dvd did . I am also told that , Avia is a much easier disc to use than VE Laserdisc . I was wondering if the line doubler would fix this problem ,I think its mostly to do with the way in gets calibrated , sense the modern hdtv and Dlp Projectors are digital not analog , so Laserdisc is analog the same with VHS Players also are analog also . So if I can set it up so the picture looks a little better I would be very happy to see a picture I once knew laserdisc had in quality . I would be a littler more happier . If Anyone has experience in how to use this disc and can give me some pointers Please pass them my way if you can . Like I said before The disk is hard to use . |
