"Last year Paul Verhoeven was trying to get a movie called The Surrogate off the ground, starring Halle Berry. It never seems to have happened, and it looks like they’ve moved on to a new project: The Student.

The movie, written by Wendy Diane Miller, is a sexual thriller about a 19 year old kid who takes up a summer internship…and then takes up with his boss’ wife. Things start to get dangerous from there. Halle Berry has been offered the role of the wife, a character named Miranda.

This is vintage Paul Verhoeven territory; somehow he made a terrific comeback film with Black Book in 2006 and hasn’t made a damn thing since.

The Student is set up with Relativity; it looks like The Student can get going where The Surrogate never did."

We know CZAR wants to play the student but he's way too old to pass for a 19 year old kid. I'll see this if she gets the part and it ever gets made.

I know man. I mean some people think I look very young for my age but not 19 young haha. Got Em!!

Verhoeven has several projects he's working on right now, and yet doesn't seem to actually be starting something. I still think he's a great director, and I'm always interested in a new movie, whatever that one will be (yes, even one with Halle Berry).

I would love to see him direct Arnold in Total Recall 2 or another project. I still cant believe they are doing a remake of the first one.
