Colonel James Braddock is back in Vietnam, this time fighting his own personal war, as he goes in to rescue the son he's never met from a ruthless Vietnamese general--a vicious man who will stop at nothing to see Braddock dead.

I'm all over Invasion U.S.A., but will have to wait to see how this compares to the German BD I have.

I would love for them to release Hellbound, but sadly this and the Hitman are in the clutches of Warner Bros.

I like to support domestic releases so it encourages them to release more along these lines.

Well F Yeah! Saw this in the theater and can't remember which came first, but I thought it was more satisfying than Rambo III. I thinks it was critic Michael Medved who said, "By far, the best of the series. All of Chuck's fans will love it." And I agreed. Chuck is flying planes, crashing planes, jumping out of planes, driving James Bond-style speed boats. The scale seemed much larger than the previous entries, and the action too. Didn't think much about any series continuity at the time, but loved it.

I love the naked jingoism of this series; it makes First Blood 2 seem positively detached and apolitical.

When Cannon wants to make a statement, they make it with rocket launchers, mass carnage, and awesome overwrought ballads with on-the-nose lyrics about the real victims of the Vietnam War: the invading troops.

I'm holding up a lighter and waving my arms slowly back and forth over my head as I listen.

This should have been released by MGM themselves, in a MiA triple feature, instead of bundling the first two films with another unrelated Chuck Norris movie. Hopefully SF will sweeten this by including extras covering the entire trilogy.

My brother once counted the number of times the word "Braddock" is said in this movie; I don't remember the exact figure -- it can't compare to Poltergeist III's mantra, "Carol Anne" -- but I think it was north of 100.
