Default The Untouchables

Better grab The Untouchables while you can. Best Buy, Amazon and Buy.com is out of stock. Not sure if they are getting anymore in. Circuit City does not list the movie in Blu-ray on it's website. My local Wal-Mart had 5 copies last week. I went to pick it up and Remember The Titans on Tuesday. The Untouchables was missing from the place where they were displayed since July. I asked the entertainment lady if they had moved them and she said they had been recalled. Luckily, I found the last copy at my local Best Buy today.

I know it's a Paramount title, but I wonder why this title is so hard to find??? My local stores are still getting copies of other top Paramount BDs.

I ordered Coming to America and The Untouchable's from Amazon, they had Coming to America, but not The Untouchables so I had to get one of the used one's, hope they still have it.

I bought both The Untouchables and Sleepy Hollow from Buy.com shortly after the Paramount announcement since I knew whatever stock was there was going to be short lived.

The Untouchables is amazing, and I was very surprised at the video quality on it. Definitely a favorite.

...D'ohh!--I forgot that was Paramount!
(And I only had about three or four titles on my Permanent Shelf purchase list besides it!)

I probably won't even own a player for another six months, but I'm stocking up now:
DeepDiscount.com's a clearance site, maybe they'll come through....Heck, the worst Paramount could do if they do go Blu early is issue a better PQ copy later.

Default Untouchables Blu-ray from Amazon

I put in an order for The Untouchables BD on Amazon as soon as the Paramount/Dreamworks disaster occured. I was originally informed that I'd take delivery on it in mid-September, but now have been notified by Amazon that the delivery estimate has been pushed back to mid-November.

Rather than waiting (and to avoid the distinct possibility that when mid-November comes along it might be further delayed or cancelled altogether) I just purchased it, for a few dollars more than Amazon's price, on Walmart.com which, according to their site, is "In Stock".

This is the last Paramount title I'm actually interested in getting.... I can't really afford to buy any new Blu-rays until the Sept 18th Buy-a-thon though... hopefully I'll be able to find a copy on a shelf somewhere.

Better buy it now if you can find it. Circuit City will not carry it anymore and it doesn't even show up on their website. It is also out of stock at BestBuy.com and shows that it is not in most stores.

Same here, and it has surprisingly high quality picture and sound for as old as the film is.
