Default SlipCover Sellers, I’m Curious to Know

Is it really that rewarding to hord hundreds and hundreds of SlipCovers? Do you guys actually sell them enough to justify it? Cuz most of you don’t even collect SlipCovers, you just sell. It makes me wonder how you even get into the business of doing so if you don’t collect them. And how the hell do you get so many? Us collectors are dying to know

And am I the only one here who gets SlipCovers to trade? Cuz I haven’t found a single person on here like me

I would assume that most people who are selling slipcovers are movie collectors who buy many titles when they are new to add to their collection. And it is typically when movies are first released that they come with slipcovers. That is how they end up with so many.

But they don't really care about keeping the slipcovers, so they sell them off. It is more of a byproduct of adding movies to their collection, rather than them going out of their way to obtain these slipcovers for the express purpose of reselling them. And so they aren't going to be very interested in trading if they don't really keep/collect slipcovers in the first place.

There are probably some people who are more deliberate about flipping slipcovers, but the thing is that most slipcovers probably aren't going to become more valuable than the cost of the movie that they come with (and if they do, it will take a while in many instances). So it either goes back to something similar to what a described above, or they would need to be someone parting everyone out (slip, digital copy, and case/discs), and getting enough money from selling those things separately to make a profit.

Honestly
Does it really matter how you obtain something, plus it's not like people have not been bying blu-rays and 4K's for years with slipcovers.
Some people collect and sell them and some people just get rid of them because they have no use for them
