Day After Tomorrow not pushed - Blu-ray Forum

acording to multiple web sites, including this one, the movie comes out on oct 2nd. however on bill hunts latests two cents it says until 10/23.
anybody know if this is true?

Yeah, I noticed that also. I e-mailed him to see if that is correct but I'm sure he gets swamped with e-mails so I'm not sure if he'll answer or not.

I checked out the Fox press site and it is listed as Oct 23, 2007 now so I've updated the release date in our database.

I guess it could be an error in the press site as well. This needs to be re-confirmed with Fox, until then we won't know for sure.

if thats so.. well lets just say i am getting pissed off at fox.. it could also be the fact that the three fox movies i have have terrible PQ and this was one of the movies i got Blu for.

Well this was mainly due to crappy MPEG2 transfert on BD25...

I just noticed they have two listings for 28 Weeks Later as well, one says Oct 9 and the other Oct 23, so perhaps they've just messed up their listings a bit in the press site. Changing back to Oct 2 until we hear more about this.

I got a response back from Bill Hunt. He said the dates he listed were the latest. The first set (in the press release) were estimates and not an actual title announcement.

I would not have much faith in a site that shows M&C as coming out 10/2.

FYI - TheDigitalBits.com has updated their post saying the studio made a mistake with the date. It's confirmed for Oct 2.

I also sent an inquiry to Fox asking for clarification about the Day After Tomorrow release date and received the following reply:

sweet, this is one i plan to get day one (from amazon of course since its fox msrp). i also cant wait for I robot in BD, that movie should kick serious ass.
