I wouldn't be surprised if Sony announced this for around Halloween.

But there's rumors of a remake, so they might be waiting for that.

I'd totally buy Fright Night on blu ray. Already own it on VHS and DVD. It's probably one of the best all around vampire movies, and one of the best 80's movies as well, imo. It's a perfect example of how special some 80's films were and how they really don't make movies like that anymore.

For a small horror flick. It's got a good script, good characters and relationships, it pokes fun at the horror industry, but also it never lets up when it gets serious or scary. Perfect balance of story, characters, comedy and horror, which makes it so much more lively. Films made now are more pigeon-holed into it's genre. If it's a low budget horror, don't expect any good writing or characters.

Nothing I'd be too excited about, but it would be pretty cool to see Fright Night on Blu-Ray. If it were to be priced low like other old movie releases are, I'd pick it up...

wishing for a blu-ray version of Fright Night and Fright Night 2.

The dvd version of fright night 2 is horrible and does not do justice to the film.

Fright night is the perfect vampire nmovie and I have watched my dvd version more than 10 times and still find it fun

I would buy this on day of release.

But I have to say want Fright Night 2 more.

The first one has a very good DVD; in terms of PQ and sound not in terms of extras, the second one however has a dreadful pan and scan DVD, and given the film is 2.35:1 it really does ruin the experience.

Fright Night Part 2 on Blu-Ray really would be the best thing to come out on Blu-ray for me.

I think Lionsgate still has the rights to part II. They might also be waiting on the remake. It would be great to get parts I and II next year.

Why a remake of this? It stands out great even today. They'll probably turn it into something like Twilight. God I hate those movies. Sorry to anyone that likes them but they do suck a**.
