Smokey and the Bandit - M or PG. Any difference?

I want to get a Blu Ray copy of Smokey and the Bandit. Amazon has M rated as well as PG. Is there a difference? I want the more adult version.

there is no blu ray version of Smokey are you looking at an import from another country or something?

Where are you seeing this release listed? There are UK and Japanese releases, but AFAIK a US release hasn't been announced.

I have the HD DVD of Smokey and the Bandit and it actually looks decent.

UK release is PG, Australia release is M. They are the same disc, just rated differently in each country.

M was also the original MPAA name for PG, though it had already become PG by the time Smokey came out. Nonetheless, I think it's the Aussie rating; M is their equivalent of PG-13 (which didn't exist here in Smokey's day).

I have the german blu-ray which is called "Ein Ausgekochtes Schlitzohr" (try to pronounce that !... ).
I had low expectations regarding the pq so I was surprised...it looks pretty good.

I hope either way the more adult version won't be your selling point on grabbing that movie
