Thinking about going for Forgotten Films Version of NOTLD, but the missing footage bothers me although it's only the shirt unbottoning scene. So it's either that or wait for another version which will likely be cropped. Anyway if I get my hands on a copy that will bump one of the last 3 off the list.

*If the Deadites from Evil Dead flix can be classified as Zombies add Army of Darkeness in place of Resident Evil

Night of the Living Dead
Shaun of the Dead
Diary of the Dead

I have so many more, many of which could also be in the top five, these are jsut a rough selection.

* Waiting patiently for the zombie "purists" to come out screaming "28 Days/Weeks are not zombie films!!! " * ........

Depends on your definition of Zombie, I used 28 days later as well. Although not really a zombie flick as it disobeys Zombie Rule 1. Zombie's must consume human flesh. If you're a zombie and haven't chowed down on a femur or two, you get kicked out of the club.

I thought Zombie Rule # 1 was you had to be the "Living-Dead," meaning the reanimation of a corpse.

Wait a minute, let me pull out my zombie handbook...I know I have it somewhere.

Yeah, you're right. Otherwise Hannibal would be a Zombie.

Ok so far we got ...

Zombie Rule 1: Must be one of the Living Dead

Zombie Rule 2: Must have enjoyed the taste of living human flesh at least once.

Zombie Rule 3: If you bite someone, when they die, they become a zombie.

Zombie Rule 4: Shuffle along slowly, do not run as it makes the rest of your Zombie Bro's look bad ...

I don't have any zombie movies in my BD collection. I have the first three Resident Evils and Grindhouse on DVD, but I doubt I'll ever upgrade any of them to BD.

EDIT: Does I am Legend count?

I firmly stand by the fact that the 28 movies are not zombie movies they are infected movies. But I understand not everyone thinks that way so I quit pushing it. A few months ago CZAR and I had s big debate about it.

Definitetly not, now me I'm just the opposite. I'd even like to do it with a zombie babe as long as she wasn't decomposing too bad. Wonder if there''s a word for that? Well, besides sick and depraved that is ....

I never considered them zombies.. They're undead, sure, but I think zombie movies are as much about the whole apocayptic atmosphere and the living being outnumbered.. This is why I wouldn't list any of the Evil Dead movies as zombie films

I think we could also add to the list that ''real'' zombies can go to daylight, unlike ''infected'' (in ''28 days later'' and ''I am legend'') which don't go to daylight.

my top 5 :

1-Dawn of the dead 1978 (unfortunatly, it's aging badly IMO, bad special effects)
2-Dawn of the dead 2004
3-28 days later
4-Planet Terror
5-Shaun of the Dead
