Seriously, what the f**k is the point to release this kind of set until all of the films have 4K UHD discs? Most pointless release ever.

I'd rather 2 releases in 4k UHD than none :P better than nothing lol, I reckon a different studio would have handled SK releases better lol.

True. But you don't need to buy this to get 2001 or The Shining on UHD.

Oh I forgot they were already out on 4K... why does the description state first time, unless they mean in a collection... sneaky!

Haven’t A CLOCKWORK ORANGE and FMJ had 4k restorations/remasters done already?

Seems pointless not waiting to include those.

Guess WB likes to milk it or has to release something to keep rights? I wish they would just release a final collection all 4K and be done with it lol. They keep on releasing boxsets haha!

With a Kubrick collection already existing on blu, and a 4k collection inevitable at some point, and with the 2 4ks in this set already being available individually, this just comes across as a blatant cash grab.

Sounds like a WB cash grab. Annoying really, why can't all of these films be remastered and released in 4K together rather than peddling them out one by one? Eyes Wide Shut would look amazing.

Especially as limited edition - not sure about others but as soon as I see that I instantly purchase lol

Was A LIFE IN PICTURES on DVD in the ‘masterpiece’ box set?

I think it was on a BD alongside the Malcolm McDowell documentary.

That’s what I thought too.

For completeness, they’ll probably include the defective 2001 4k encode

I'm missing Lolita and Barry Lyndon, but to get a (mostly) blu-ray set now still?

At least from the pictures the digipaks for these look nicer than your typical cardboard packaging. They kind of look hardbound even.

Given that the Kubrick Collection is always in the BF AMZ sale you’d be as well picking that up and then getting 2001 and THE SHINING separately.

Cheaper and you’d get A LIFE IN PICTURES on blu...
