Default How long does it take you to pick a Blu-ray too watch?

I find myself sometimes just staring at all the movies for upwards of half an hour just trying to pick a movie i am in the mood for. Does anyone else have the problem?

You'll tend to do that when you have 300+ movies

my dvd shelf is pretty barren, but i often use a random number generator to select which movies to move to the top of my netflix queue... otherwise i'll never get to most of that stuff.

I don't think I have ever come close to 5 minutes, let alone a half hour. It takes a bit to decide, even longer if the wife is present.

I take a while too..

and then the line from Leonard Part 6 (yeah yeah, bad movie) comes in my head when Bill Cosby goes into his huge walk-in closet with tons of clothes and he says "but I have nothing to WEAR!"

And then I say "but I have nothing to WATCH!"

(I have 500+)

Its not something i am proud of i wish i could pick one in 5 minutes or less, but i never know fully what i am in the mood for. In many occasions i have put a movie in got 10 minutes in and popped it out because it turns out i am not in the mood for that genre. I should just close my eyes and pick from now on.

I hate when this happens. I take
[Show spoiler]Attachment 15688
. I get mad and close my eyes and try and pick. I grab a movie and I know what it is before I open my eyes.

I do the same thing. I only have about 100 Blu-rays and I sit and stare a long time. Sometimes I give up and end up playing a video game. LOL!

Same here. I'll take forever to decide, but once I just put one in I'm always glad with my decision.

Although for me it usually comes down to the length of the movie and how long I want to stay awake for. I say I only have time for a 90 minute but then spend 30 min picking. In the end I could have just watched any 2hr + movie and spent the same amount of time awake

(and to think I really thought I was the only one who did this, now I feel better )

It takes a little time for me. Longer if my girlfriend is around. But not too long.

Sometimes it's very quick, sometimes it takes me several minutes to decide and there are times when after staring at my blu-ray rack for a while I give up and pick one of my SACDs or DVD-As.

tonight: 30 minutes. what did i pick? nothing

i use this method:

(1) pick out 4-5
(2) pick one out of the 4-5

i think i may just watch my collection alphabetically, on a cyclical basis
