Everyone knows that the 80 GB ps3 is available now and well as the next firmware update. Is it possible that at a point in the future, the updates will be supported on the 60 anymore? In other words, you have to get an 80 to update? I think that this would sound crazy as well as unfair. Any idea?

Just a crazy idea that I had which I knew wasn't true. Forget that I even asked about it in the first place.

The whole idea behind the console market, and the reason it persists, is because consoles are generally always 99% consistent from beginning of lifetime to end of lifetime. There's no earthly reason why Sony would make the 60GB (or the 20GB) units obsolete; they'd alienate millions of buyers, and to what purpose? The hardware is essentially the same, except that the 60GB is more capable than the 80GB and costs more to manufacture.
