I received my copy today and while the colours look really nice, it's basically an HD upscale.

Although, I was glad to see that Umbrella went all out for this debut release, with a menu screen and bonus content.

It's an older Universal HD master, processed with EE and degraining. Umbrella only receives whatever HD masters the licensors have for the US/export titles and rarely ever do new transfers (aside from Aussie productions that have elements in their native country such as Razorback and several upcoming titles in the Sunburnt line).

Odd, labels usually lock titles from the big distributors like Uni and MGM. Though some like Paramount seem to let Imprint encode for Regions A and C as well.

Umbrella discs have been pretty much region-free across the board for a while now. Might be an exception or two but I can't think of any from the last few years.
