Proficient Audio for in-home audio system?

We're having a house built and seriously looking into an in-home audio system. The house is 4800 sq feet with an open floor plan (two story great room, etc.) and we're looking at having in-ceiling speakers added to 7 rooms, the basement, and our patio. The builder uses Proficient Audio C610 ceiling speakers using 16 gauge audio wire with CAT5 cable. Any thoughts? Also, any idea how much square footage these speakers cover, based on experienced? The cost for installation (including 16 gauge audio wire with CAT5 cable) and a slider volume control is $462 per room. The speakers they would use on the patio (outside) are also Proficient but a different model.
