The picture is clean and clear. My one MAJOR complaint is that pixelation occurs during the 1st party scene while Michael Douglas and Jesse Eisenberg's characters discuss women while looking at a woman at the party. Pixelation appears on her face in the form of transparent squares, then when the camera shifts back to the two men talking, there is more pixelation that appears on and around Michael Douglas's face. So obviously no quality control! So for $5 as a whim purchase, I can live with it. But still very shoddy that this pixelation or some may call it digital noise made it onto the Canadian release. By the way, I did check my disc for scratches and the disc is immaculate, so the problem is the digital transfer itself. But hey, it's $5 right? I suspect the other $5 titles at HMV here in Canada are probably all released by the same VVS Films company, hencee why the low cost and the barebones releases. |
