Canada Solitary Man

Does the Canadian version of Solitary Man come with the special features found on the US version of the disc, because the back of the case does not list any?

I recently purchased the Canadian Release of this film for $5 at HMV here in Canada, so I can't complain too much. No there are no extras whatsoever. The Canadian release of Solitary Man was released by VVS FILMS, so much like the Alliance releases, these are barebones, no frills, basic releases. From what I have read about some Alliance release, they are gotten by Alliance via some form of digital download or digital transfer. Hence why so basic. I am unsure about VVS Films method though.

The picture is clean and clear. My one MAJOR complaint is that pixelation occurs during the 1st party scene while Michael Douglas and Jesse Eisenberg's characters discuss women while looking at a woman at the party. Pixelation appears on her face in the form of transparent squares, then when the camera shifts back to the two men talking, there is more pixelation that appears on and around Michael Douglas's face. So obviously no quality control!

So for $5 as a whim purchase, I can live with it. But still very shoddy that this pixelation or some may call it digital noise made it onto the Canadian release.

By the way, I did check my disc for scratches and the disc is immaculate, so the problem is the digital transfer itself. But hey, it's $5 right?

I suspect the other $5 titles at HMV here in Canada are probably all released by the same VVS Films company, hencee why the low cost and the barebones releases.
