Default Favorite TV genre?

I would say my favorite TV genre would be drama and then crime/mystery second.

I added Other in case I missed a genre and I bet I did

I went with crime/mystery. It was between that and comedy but comedies are too hit and miss on tv anymore.

SciFi - Star Trek is enough to satisfy me but throw in Battlestar, FireFly, etc and its not even close.

I am draw to Drama and Sci-Fi - I voted Sci-Fi. Reality genre television programs no longer appeal to me - in fact I'd say I hate them. I'd rather be entertained by a well-scripted drama or sci-fi series.

Sci-fi, everything else is too predictable for me.

Drama a close second.

I see there are many geeks in this forum . No wonder studios like to release science-fiction TV shows on BD.

I voted for drama. As much as I like comedies like Friends and The Office, I'm generally more engrossed in dramas like ER, House and Grey's Anatomy. Come to think of it, I guess I'm a sucker for medical dramas.

Same with movies for me. Sci-fi if it's done right, Drama, Thriller, and dark comedies.

There is no genre that completely disinterests me as long as it has plenty of dramatic elements. I refuse to watch soap operas, any of the shit cop shows that are put on CBS, and shows like NCIS or CSI.

Nothing can top the dark, dark HBO dramas like Six Feet Under, The Sopranos, The Leftovers, and True Detective.

Sci-fi or comedy. I find most dramas pretty boring.
